Screen Flickering Issues

UPDATE

This issue has been fixed with the newer NVIDIA drivers, so there is no longer a need roll back to an older version. Simply updating your driver to the newest version should fix the problem. You can find the latest drivers here:

NVIDIA GeForce Drivers

Certain users with Series 8 NVIDIA GeForce video cards may experience uncontrollable screen flickering with our recent games. This issue has been traced to a recent video card driver update. We have researched the problem and are unable to provide a solution from our end. Therefore, we recommend installing the old driver if you want to play these games. You can download the drivers directly from NVIDIA and install them manually by clicking the links below for your operating system.

Hidden Mysteries: Titanic Walkthrough

After numerous requests, we've posted a walkthrough for Hidden Mysteries: Titanic as a downloadable .pdf file. Although written specifically for the PC version, it should be helpful for those playing the Wii and/or DS versions as well.

Hidden Mysteries - Civil War

This patch has the kerosene lamp removed from the Battle of the Wilderness. There is a mysterious bug where certain users are unable to click on this item in the game. We were unable to find the direct cause of this problem, but hope that removing the item will allow everyone to get past this level. To implement the new version please follow these instructions exactly.

• Download the file scenes.dat by clicking the button to the right.
• Select Save To Disk and make sure to note where the file is downloaded to. This file is about 50MB in size so it may take a few minutes to download.
• Copy this new file over the existing scenes.dat file that's part of the game already on your computer. If you purchased the game from Big Fish Games this file is probably located in C:\Program Files\Hidden Mysteries - Civil War\Data. If you purchased it from a store it is probably located in C:\Program Files\GameMill Entertainment\Hidden Mysteries Civil War\Data.
• If you are already stuck at the Battle of the Wilderness, you will not be able to click the kerosene lamp since it will no longer be there. You will need to start the game over with a new user profile.

Ultimate Mahjongg 20

This patch fixes a problem where Freefall would occasionally lock up the game. To update your game, download the new exe file by clicking the icon at the right and selecting Save. Choose the folder where your game was installed (most likely C:\Program Files\ValuSoft\Ultimate Mahjongg 20\) and select "Yes" when asked to replace the existing file.

Card Games

This patch fixes a few minor problems with Card Games from On Hand Software. To update your game, download the zip file by clicking the icon at the right and selecting Save To Disk. Unzip the file cards.exe and copy that file over your previous version of the game (most likely located at C:\Program Files\On Hand Software\Card Games\cards.exe).

Cold Case Files

Cold Case Files from Activision Value featured a bonus case that could be downloaded from the A&E web site. They are no longer providing a link for this download, but you can download it here. Click the icon at the right and select Save to Disk. After unzipping the file BonusSetup.exe, double-click it to install the bonus case.

Expert Software Games on XP

Certain games published by Expert Software (including Perfect Chessmate and some of the Bicycle Card Game Products) will not install on Windows XP. This is a problem with the setup program (and not the game itselft) and there is a somewhat complicated work around. Please click the icon at the right to read the instructions for installing Perfect Chessmate on Windows XP. These instructions can also be adapted for other Expert Software games that have the same problem.

Activision Casino

This patch fixes a problem with the payouts on the Red, White, & Blue slot machine. To update your game, download the zip file by clicking the icon at the right and selecting Save To Disk. Unzip the file slot3.dat and copy that file over your previous version of that file (most likely located at C:\Program Files\Activision Value\Activision Value Casino\Slots\slot3.dat).

Totally Cool Card Games

This patch fixes a problems where the pass setting could not be changed in Hearts. To update your game, download the zip file by clicking the icon at the right and selecting Save To Disk. Unzip the file hearts.exe and copy that file over your previous version of this file (most likely located at C:\Program Files\Expert Software\Totally Cool\Hearts\hearts.exe).

Bicycle High Stakes Casino

This patch fixes a problem where the Joker Poker video poker machine would lock up the game. To update your game, download the zip file by clicking the icon at the right and selecting Save To Disk. Unzip the file casino.exe and copy that file over your previous version of the game (most likely located at C:\Program Files\Expert Software\Bicycle High Stakes Casino\casino.exe).
